3. How Are We Paid?
Our service is provided at no cost to you. Rebus Finance is remunerated by the lender when your loan settles. This means you receive expert advice and assistance without paying any fees to us directly.
We are committed to acting in your best interests regardless of the commission structure of any particular lender. Our recommendations are based on your needs, objectives, and financial situation, not on which lender pays the highest commission.
4. Commission Structure
When your loan settles, we typically receive two types of commission from the lender:
Upfront Commission
This is a one-off payment made by the lender at the time your loan settles. The upfront commission is typically calculated as a percentage of the loan amount, and generally ranges from 0.30% to 0.70% (inclusive of GST) of the loan amount, depending on the lender.
Trail Commission
This is an ongoing payment made by the lender for the life of the loan, typically calculated as a percentage of the outstanding loan balance. Trail commission generally ranges from 0.10% to 0.35% per annum (inclusive of GST) of the remaining loan balance.
You are entitled to request further details about the commissions and fees we may receive in relation to your specific loan. We will provide this information to you in a timely manner upon request.
5. Referral Arrangements
From time to time, we may refer you to other professionals such as financial planners, accountants, solicitors, or insurance providers. If we receive any fee, commission, or benefit for making a referral, we will disclose this to you at the time of the referral. Similarly, if we receive referrals from other parties and pay a referral fee, we will disclose this to you.
6. Your Obligations
When using our services, you are required to:
- Provide us with accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about your financial situation
- Inform us of any changes to your circumstances that may affect your loan application
- Review all loan documentation carefully before signing
- Ensure you understand the terms and conditions of any loan product you enter into

If you are dissatisfied with our services, we encourage you to raise the matter with us directly. We take all complaints seriously and are committed to resolving them fairly and promptly.
